Validation and Control Panel Problems

Question
-
Hi, I am running Vista Home Premium and it has been fine for around 8 months until I received a pop-up yesterday evening that my copy of Windows may not be genuine. After unsuccessful validation on the Windows Genuine Advantage website, I discovered that I could not access Control Panel and related applications such as Personalization (through Desktop right-click). How can I regain full functions on my computer?
By the way, I have tried several procedures I found on online forums such as running slsvc from command prompt, and it doesn't work. I have also removed any NVidia drivers as I read that there are incompatibility issues. However, I still have NVidia Control Panel installed and I cannot remove it using Add/Remove Programs. I have also found that the SL UI Notification and Service Licensing services are stopped and I am unable to start them.
Please help!!

Hi htb89,
Not sound too alarmist, but I am kind of surprised that your Vista is actually running.
One of the things that the MGADiag tool looks for is Critical Syatem Files that have been modified in some way. If you look at your Diagnostic Report, under "File Scan Data-->" you will see that, as nearly as I can tell, Every one of your Vista Critical System Files has being modified in some way. I have never seen this and I can only theorize that either a Virus attacked your system files, the System Catalog has become corrupt, or something else (very bad) has happened.
I normally try to give multiple options to resolve an issue, but in this case, my only suggestion is to re-install Vista. You may also try contacting Vista support at http://support.microsoft.com, but I have a feeling they will suggest the same thing.
Sorry I couldn't provide any better advise,
