Synctoy 2.1 and Windows 7 HP - Is UAC a problem? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been using Windows XP and Synctoy 2.0 without any problem, but after upgrading to Windows 7 and Synctoy 2.1, and syncrhonize the same folder pairs I get error (Access denie) on the files that are to be overwritten or delete, the new files are worked OK.

May the UAC be interfering with sync, do I have to put off UAC before sync?.

    Have anyone get this error.

  • Hi,

Some security policy in Win7 or Vista do influence SyncToy. To verify this, would you like to try if right-clicking SyncToy and then using "Run as administrator" could make SyncToy work?
