  • Sorry about the delayed response - I seem to have missed this one!

The Product Key for this installation has been blocked - presumably for reason of abuse.

The License type is one which is only valid when issued as part of the sale of a pre-manufactured machine from a major manufacturer, and is always accompanied by a certificate in the BIOS (the SLIC table) - this certificate is not present in this machine, indicating that the machine was sold either without an operating system, or with one other than Windows 7.

The install is almost certainly counterfeit.

If you bought the Windows license separately from the machine, you should complain to your vendor.

If you bought the machine with Windows pre-installed, is there a COA sticker for Windows 7 Pro on the machine? - or is there a Windows 8/8.1 sticker present?

Since the machine appears to have been built in 2012, it's likely that it came with Windows 8/8.1 Core edition installed - which has no downgrade rights to Windows 7.

You can either purchase a Windows 7 OEM System builder pack or reinstall the original operating system with which the machine shipped from the manufacturer.

No - I do not work for Microsoft, or any of its contractors.
