Reinstalling Office 2007 professional - problems with the activation process

Question
-
Hi everybody!
I bought a new computer half a year ago without office. Since I have to work with the Office applications every day, I decided to get Office 2007 also for private use. I downloaded the trial version of Office 2007 and installed it. I could not remeber whether I had to activate the trial version or not, since I didn´t use the software the next few days. After that, I purchased a Key for MS Office Professional via internet. I converted the trial version to a full version and activated the software wih the purchased Key. Everything was just super.
A couple of days ago, I had trouble with my Media Center. Since I could not find a solution to the problem in the i´net, I decided to reinstall Vista. I backed up my personal files and got started. Unfortunately, I did not know about the problems which should occur with Office and that it might have been a good idea to bach up the OPA12-files as well.
After installing the Office from the same downloaded file as half a year before, I installed the software directly with the Key I purchased in April and received the following error during the activation procedure (via internet):
(translated from German, please bear with me ;-)):
"Your software could not be activated, since th product key used for the installation is not valid. Uninstall the software and repeat the installation with a valid product key. ..... " and some more...
Activation via telephone didn´t work either, since there ist only a machine on the other side of the wire, telling me exactly the same.....
I could not understand, why the same key that worked well for half a year should now be invalid. Any help ore suggestion will be highly appreciated, since I have now idea what to do...
Am I doomed to buy another key? If so, I have to think about alternatives ;-(
Here is my diagnostic report:

Hi Dan,
I didn´t contact the seller by now. I will get in touch with them and post the result / their answer here.
I wanted to be sure that I haven´t done any mistake somewhere during the installation or of any other kind before contacting them.
Anyway, I´ll give it a try!

I think you a little confused (or maybe it's just the report that's confusing)
The Key that you appear to have entered for the Office activation (If I'm reading it right) is the Windows OEM_SLP key, rather than the Office Key.
Hopefully, you bought your Office Key from teh MS Store - if so, then the proper Key will be either in teh email you received from them, or in the Store account you created at the time. If you use that key, then you should be OK.

Hi Noel, thanks for your response!
I have no idea what all that information means, I just posted that report because I saw such information many times browsing the forums.
But nevertheless, I can see what you mean, browsing the report area starting with "other data -->Office details:", right?
I can´t explain the data above, but the office key is definitely another one, than the one that appears there...
I have to admit, I´m lost here... I have no idea, any further tipps or suggestions anyone?

Hello Alex,F,
You wrote, " After that, I purchased a Key for MS Office Professional via internet."
Did you contact the place of purchase to report that the key they sold you no longer works?
Could you post a link to the online store from which you purchased the key?
