Why does Windows Live Writer keeping giving me "Windows live writer has stopped working" and shuts down every time I try to open it?

  Just installed Essentials 12 Windows Live Writer on new Windows8 dell inspiron 660s: It was working fine, and suddenly stopped. Now receiving "Windows live writer has stopped working" and shuts down every time I try to open it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled at least a dozen times. The other programs that I installed as part of essential work fine. Just WLW won't work.
