CRM 4.0 Reassigning fields to "unassigned value" or blank RRS feed

  • I have a custom drop down field that has been used incorrectly and many records have been assigned the wrong values. Rather than go back through these one by one and assign the correct values, is there a way to reassign the fields that = "X" back to an "unassigned" or blank value? Then these can be corrected when they are edited again to the correct values. Thanks!

  • An Quick and UNSUPPORTED way would be to update it via SQL (assuming this wasn't CRMOnline)

    An alternative would be to change the lable of the picklist item to 'Needs Update' - add a new picklist item with the desired/original name -
    Then create a view based on the 'Needs Update' value and have the users correct the individual records until they were cleaned up.
