  • Install the One Care trial - http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/install/install.htm To activate, open One Care, select "Subscribe" and when asked for a Live ID enter the Live ID and password used to purchase your subscription and One Care will activate.

  • followed suggested link ...uninstalled One Care, reinstalled One Care, but when product code is entered, reply continues to be 'product code already in use' ...tried repeatedly, but response remains same ...also tried 'add PC ...same response ...when reinstalled, One Care shows option to 'Finish Setup' ...same result with trial link ...when Live ID and password is entered, no option to 'Activate' appears

  • When you enter the Live ID and password One Care should activate with no further action required and without entering the product key. If One Care is not activating you are not using the Live ID that was associated with your One Care subscription when you originally set up your account. To verify the correct Live ID go to http://billing.microsoft.com sign in and locate your One Care account. If you are unable to sign in you are not using the correct Live ID. If you have One Care running on a second computer open One Care>Help>About Windows Live One Care and you will see the Live ID associated with your account. If you don't have One Care installed on another computer and you can't remember the correct Live ID you can contact support for help.
