Answers

  • The link you provided is not a Microsoft site, it belongs to a company called edX who are offering training in C#. The course appears to be one developed by edX and not a Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) course (Microsoft's official course can be found at https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/course.aspx?ID=20483B.)

There is a Microsoft exam called 70-483: Programming in C# (https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-au/exam-70-483.aspx) however you will need to talk to edX to ascertain whether their course is sufficient to pass the exam.

Genearlly speaking though, doing a course (whether it be from Microsoft or 3rd Party) alone without at least 6-12 months practical experience with a technology will not be sufficient to pass a Microsoft Certification exam.

  • This course was not created by EDx, but was created by Microsoft on the EDx platform. Having taken the EDx course, the details of the Microsoft exam align with the modules covered in the EDx course.
