Is There Value in Studying and Sitting the 70-659 Exam? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My original plan was to take the 70-659 TS: Windows Server 2008 R2, Server Virtualization exam but now with the upcoming release of the 2012 exams I'm wondering if there is "value" in studying and sitting this exam.  Any thoughts on this?  I see the exam is scheduled to retire in the summer of 2013 so I have lots of time to do this one, hopefully before the end of this year.  Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • 70-659 counts towards the new MCSE: Private Cloud certification for now. You can take it instead of 70-247. Also it is still required for some of the Microsoft Gold Certifications if your company is looking at Gold Certifications from Microsoft. I also think it is a good test and has a lot of good information that you need to know to pass the test. The information in the test is still relevant to the real world.

Until January 31, 2013, Exam 70-659 may be taken in place of 70-247 to count
    towards the Private Cloud certification.
