Disabling media receivers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

First, I am a novice! I have an HP MediaServer EX490

I do not want to share or allow my media to stream to all computers on my network. In WHS Console on the Media Server tab, there is a section called Enabled Media Receivers that lists the enabled media receivers that I am able to identify by their MAC addresses. There is one that I do not want to have access to my server or media or anything for that matter. It does need to connect to the Router though for internet access.

I have opened Settings, clicked TwonkyMedia and on the Media Receivers Tab have tried to double click the MAC address to disable it, however it does not disable even though it indicates with a red light. I have also tried to Remove the selected MAC address from the list and although it does remove, as soon as that PC is restarted it reappears in the list.

I have unchecked Automatic sharing. I have also on both attempts clicked Apply and restarted the Server. Under user accounts, that computer has no account. Guest is not enabled.

How do I stop this computer from accessing my server?

    Thank you.
