  • Question

  •

    Hi All,

I am trying to import Parts into Microsoft CRM 4.0. I have also installed KB 950680 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950680/en-us

Below is CSV file I am trying to import.

    PartNo,PartName,UnitGroup,UM,Decimal
    ABAARP,"ACB Abrasion Resistance Pads","uomschedule,{AD58C097-1A58-DD11-B729-005056A147D6}","uom,{AE58C097-1A58-DD11-B729-005056A147D6}",2
    ABAMR,"ACB Anchor Manta Ray","uomschedule,{AD58C097-1A58-DD11-B729-005056A147D6}","uom,{AE58C097-1A58-DD11-B729-005056A147D6}",2

While importing I am getting this error "An error has occured. Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Micrisoft Dynamics CRM Community for solutions or contact your Organization CRM Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft support"

    Any help is really apreciated.

    Thanks in Advance

    Today I got this fixed.

The problem was field names and choosing wrong fields. I change my CSV file to

Product ID Product Name Default Unit Unit Group Decimals Supported
               ,ABAARP,"ACB Abrasion Resistance Pads.FT,FT,2

    Product : uniqueidentifier

    ID: Product No

    Product Name:

IN CRM 4.0 their is no need to provide lookup ID's. Lookup fields will be mapped automatically.

Also while importing please click on "Enrich data by updating existing records rather then creating new records"

  • You already specify the Guid, so it's not necessary to specify the name.

    Just try:

    "{AD58C097-1A58-DD11-B729-005056A147D6}" without the name
