It looks like the original purchaser of the software (the person/company who purchases it from MSFT to resell to the general public) has reported it "Lost/stolen" as of 1/24/2007.

When did you purchase your copy of Vista Starter Edition? I would recommend inquiring at your reseller. Meanwhile, our team is investigating as to the original purchase of this software to try and find out whats happening.

It looks like your product key has been blocked from Activation as it has been used repeatedly on several different machines.

A few questions will help us identify what might be happening:

    - What geographical location are you currently located in?

    - Have you installed this product key on more than one PC?

    - If so - how many?

    - If not, have you changed the hardware or updated hardware drivers recently?

    Thanks,

    -phil

1: I am located in the UK (Scotland) a place called Paisley.

2: I have not installed this product key on any other PC and I have not changed the hardware or updated the hardware drivers recently.

So is there anyway that my Vista could be Validated?. a support number or something.

    Thanks.

It was purchased at Asda (Walmart)  at the start of last month, I originally thought the problem would be that the 30 day grace period has expired as when I was setting the PC up I forgot to put in the Product Key but when I was putting in the Product Key it said it was invalid.

I would suggest going back to your reseller and inquiring about the product they have resold. We're still investigating in-house but it may take a while.
