off topic - chronological order of e-mails

  It seems that my e-mails constantly revert to a "most recent first" display mode, when I really want a permanent "oldest first" display.  (At the least, this "most recent first" prevents moving from a newer message to the next earliest if the newer one is deleted.  A real pain.)
