Creating CRM reports with a Gantt chart like display

I would like to create a CRM report that looks like a Gantt chart. For each opportunity in the report i would like to have columns representing months of the year and show the begin and end period of the opportunity as a graph. Any ideas on the best way to do this? I am using CRM 4.0

I haven't tried it, but the following link presents a "workaround" method to create a Gantt chart using the native reporting services controls (in the absence of a true Gantt chart):

That is an SSRS 2008 article from which the original SSRS 2005 article (requires SQL Server Central login) came:
