    We are planning to deploy 1 consolidated Enterprise Edition server with a backend clustered SQL server (storage on SAN)

    We have 3500 users and are planning to deploy IM, Presence and App Sharing.

     

    I have had a look at the OCS Planning guide for recommended database/log sizes but the Medium Size organisation is for 50,000 users.

     

    So with that in mind what would you recommend for the DB and Log size on the SAN for 3500 users?

    OCS 2007 databases do not take up much space.  How much space you need will also depend on your maintenace of SQL DBs, etc.  You would be safe with a 10GB LUN though (without archiving).  If archiving comes into play then plan for at least 30MB per user/per year for your archive db.

    Where do u ge the data of 30 MB per user/per year for archiv db? Any MS planning guide mentioned it?
