  • Hello Ivetuke,

Step 1 is to download and run the utility at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012, then click the Windows tab, click the Copy button to copy report data to the Windows Clipboard, then right-click and paste the report into a response message in this thread.

Note:  You've already done Step 1.

Step 2 is to look on the computer,  or with the materials you received with the computer, or the materials you received with your retail purchase of Windows, to see if you have a Certificate of Authenticty (CoA).  If you have one, tell us about the CoA.  Tell us:

    1.  What edition of Windows XP is it for, Home, Pro, or Media Center?

    2.  Does it read "OEM Software" or "OEM Product" in black lettering?

    3.  Or, does it have the computer manufacturer's name in black lettering?

    4.  DO NOT post the Product Key that may be printed on the CoA.

    5.  Retail packages for Windows have their CoA on the outer boxtop.  The product key is not on the CoA.

Not sure what to look for?  Click here:  http://www.microsoft.com/resources/howtotell/en/coa.mspx

  • Hello Ivetuke,

Your VLK has been reported stolen and may not be unblocked except by the organization it was issued to. If you're computer is part of an organization, contact your organization's administrator(s) and they may be able to issue you a new key. If your computer is NOT part of an organization, contact Microsoft Piracy for further assistance at 1-800-RULEGIT.
