  • Power saving is a big thing at home…  

    Because most bios have the ability to automatically startup the pc, Maybe it’s is a good idea to be able to let whs shutdown on Scheduled time.

  • While it's possible (one easy way is to just schedule a shutdown command), it defeats much of the purpose of WHS which is to be an always on node that allows access to your data from anywhere, at any time. A night-time shut down would step on the default network maintenance window, for example, so backups wouldn't run, updates wouldn't be applied to WHS, etc. And a daytime shutdown would restrict the "anywhere, any time" aspects.
