what server roles to install for migrating online CRM 2011 to on-premise?

I found not too many documents talking about this scenario: a new CRM installation for migrating CRM 2011 from online to on-premise.

Do I need to do a full server installation?

Yes - if you are only splitting the CRM roles to multiple servers you will need to install all the roles.

The server configuration would be no different than if you started out with an On Premise installation.
