System Tray broken by OC2? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I just reported this to Microsoft.  To be honest, I'm not entirely sure it's broken by OC2, but it hasn't happened before until I installed OC2...

Once you've installed OC2, do something (whatever doesn't matter) to your sidebar.  This may make the sidebar icon in your system tray to reappear.  Now, the 'expand system tray' icon (the arrow that expands the tray to show other inactive icons) will disappear.  This means you won't be able to access the other inactive icons.  Not to mention, the sidebar icon won't go away even if you don't touch the sidebar for days...

Other aspects of the system tray seem OK, things still load into it and unload from it though.  You just can't access the previously hidden/inactive icons.

I've tried reinstalling OC2, checked/unchecked the hide inactive system tray icons in the taskbar settings, checked various event logs, but nothing showed any errors...

I'm using Vista Ultimate 32-bits.  Anyone experienced this weird one?
