Is this click fraud, and how can I tell? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a website where the subject matter is electronic payments  at www.paymentinfocenter.com.  I have ad campaigns running on both search and content networks with keywords related to electronic payments.  As I drill down on the logs on my site to see high traffic queries that are coming to my site, I'm seeing a top query of "feminism defined" coming from a site called www.nateandmichele.com (15 hits in the past 2 days).  I'm pretty new to this so it's not making much sense to me, but it seems quite suspicious, especially as I go look at the referring site and try to make sense of it.

Anybody have any guidance that they can give me to help me understand how this query is creating traffic to my site, and how I might shut it down?  I've set their IP address to be prohibited at my site, but I fear that even with doing that that the clicks are costing me money.

Seems like some kind of click fraud, but I'm not sure where to go to investigate more thoroughly.
