  • I'm a Moderator in the SharePoint forums and I certainly don't make distinctions on what the name of the poster is.

It seems to me that you are being over-sensitive. Moderators will change "Propose as Answer" posts to "Answer" status if they think it answers the question. Some, including me, will NEVER (irresepective of name) do this if the person writing the post has themselves proposed it as an answer, though.

  • Hello Mike Walsh MVP!

    Thank you for your replay!

I see that if moderators set some replay as answer it is most friquenly their own replay.

Also I saw that in some thread where I posted some of moderators has marked replay that is done after mine and repeat my answer, but not and my replay

  • Again this won't be personal and won't be based on your name.

Some Moderators are new to the job and haven't learnt yet (as have the Microsoft Moderators in the SharePoint forums for instance) that they shouldn't mark their own posts as answers - at least not until several days have passed and the original poster has confirmed that their answer helped. The way the teams of MS moderators work (in respect of how and when they mark) seems to vary according to the subject of the forums. Some teams seem very eager for threads to be marked as answered as quickly as possible and they mark their own answers more often than other support teams do.

Also everyone has a limited amount of time they can allocate to a thread. So mistakes are made and a post that gives an answer is marked (because it was seen first) and an earlier answer isn't (because it wasn't seen).

It seems from your experience that you have met both types of problems.

But again it is certainly NOT your name. I've never seen that kind of bias.

My posts are not marked as answer just because my name!!!

Administrators even clear my proposal as answer mark, and mark posts of other user that have names that sounds more american!!!

Administrators mark any other replay as answer, but not only mine!!!

This is discrimination and I think it is not acceptable!!!

    Here is some example link:

Seems to me you have a personal "I  am a victim" problem with your name...... Looks like a few folks tried to help you with your install problems..... Now if it were, Hussein, (obamha), I'd agree with you, cuz all replies for help would be just a middle finger......

  • Hello Mike Walsh MVP,

    Thank you for your replay!

I know that different peoples have different approach, so I do not say all admins have the same approach.

I can paste link to posts of admin that mark his replays as answers without to follow the rules you are talking about, but I am not the God to judge him.

I just want when my replay deserves to be marked as answer, it to be marked, but not to be skipped and to be marked some other replay that uses my diagnose of problem and repeat my answer

  • I suggest that you consider your answer is not marked simply because it is not the best answer or the correct answer and not simply because of your name.

    Hello Anil,

Can you explain me please why in this thread
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproinstall/thread/345f4e3a-289b-481b-a1a6-5377b63d8a73

two of my posts are deleted, but post of DarienHawk67 that says, cite "Dude, you cannot be serious. Nonetheless, keep it coming as I enjoy a good laugh every now and then." is still there?
    How you call this?
How you know I am offended by word "dude", when my post is not there?
How you call that behavior of Ronnie Vernon? Why he deleted my posts but not and post of DarienHawk67?
How you call this, because I call it discrimination!

    This is from your e-mail:
    >You flame Ronnie Vernon and
    > make your offensive claims of discrimination, but then you take offense
    > yourself to someone else calling you "dude." You may not be aware of
    > this, but many of your posts are offensive (even if not considered to be
    > abusive). Using phrases like "You have done that I have suggested you,
    > but problem is that you cannot understand it" in

Please open again this thread and see how it is looking now!

Why post of DarienHawk67 is still there?
