  • You will need to specify a bit more what other requirements you have for the program. With the description that you wrote, Excel would fit the bill (you can add and delete names in a spreadsheet, as well as sort ("alphabetize") them). Access can also do it (create a table with a "name" column and then add a query that contains an "order by" to sort them). Outlook would also work (add contacts, they are displayed sorted). SQL Server along with SQL Server Management Studio (or even SqlCmd) can also do it.

  • Microsoft Excel would probably be the easiest program to do that with and is widely available or even comes pre-installed on many Windows PC's or MS Surface devices.
