Excel Error

  Hello Guys,

  I have come across a very different kind of issue. While opening excel I get this error

  "C:\Program files\Microsoft office\office12\Excel.exe The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid"

  It happens when I try opening a new excel file or an existing one

  I have uninstalled or reinstalled Office 2007 twice but it didn't work.

  I have tried in safe mode as well but no luck.

  Can anyone help me in this as I use excel alot
