Stuttering Video Playback (Using Xbox 360) Fix! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've looked and searched through the forum and haven't found anything to help me yet, but I'm sorry if I missed something

When I try and play a video through my network, it stutters and is at a framerate so low, I simply can't watch it.
The trick, is that we have three Xbox 360's in the house, and 2 out of the 3 can playback any movie perfectly. Only the 360 in the rack with the switch cannot.

    My setup:
Server feeding into a switch (2 other computers on the switch, but doing nothing currently). The switch feeds into a central switch controlling the whole house. An xbox 360 is plugged into that switch, and the video is routed to wherever we want in the house.

A little confusing, I'm sure, but let me know if I can clarify anything.

  • Shouldn't have opned my mouth quite yet. Fixed my own problem.

The other two consoles had xbox live memberships set up, and therefore already had the December update. As soon as I set up an account (only need a free silver one) on the third console, it updated, and now plays back just fine.
