Question regarding Relationship RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I wanted to discuss following brain-dump question regarding Relationship in Dynamics CRM 4.0. (Exam MB2-631).

You have created a custom entity called "Reseller". You configured the Reseller entity to appear in the Sales area. You created a relationship between Reseller and Account where Reseller is the primary entity. Users are reporting that they can create new Accounts from the Reseller entity, but they cannot associate existing Accounts with a Reseller. What is the most likely cause of the problem?

    A. You did not publish the Account entity after adding the relationship.
    B. You did not publish the Reseller entity after adding the relationship.
    C. You did not add the Reseller Relationship attribute to the Account form and publish the Account entity after creating the relationship.
    D. You did not add the Account relationship attribute to the Reseller form and publish the Reseller entity after creating the relationship.

The correct answer indicated is D. But I can't understand why is it D. It should be C according to my analysis.

    Any ideas?.

  • I assume that with 'Account relationship attribute that can be placed on the Reseller form' a lookup field from Reseller to Account is meant.

IF Reseller is the primary entity, then there is no Account relationship attribute that can be placed on the Reseller form. So either the tekst is wrong and the Account should have been the primary entity or the answer is wrong and the correct answer is C.

Or at least that's the way I see it.

  • No, the test is categorically wrong.
