  • Pet has all rights on service activity.

Try adding Pet to the System Administration role and see if the problem persists.

There was an error in CRM 4.0 regarding roles that were created, there were some hidden attributes that were not being set correct.

If the users that have this problem are using a custom made security role then you might have to create a new role but to get it to work correct you have to follow these steps.

Instead of Creating a new one you need to make a copy of one of the original roles that came with the system, then edit the properties correct.

If your users are using a original role that came with the CRM system, there was another bug regarding permissions on Entity and attributes not being set could cause problems.
So edit your role and add Read rights to those 2 items in the security role.

If none of these items apply then I am sorry but I have no more suggestions to fix the problem atm.
