Upgrade to Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Working with windows home server 2011. Is an upgrade to Windows 10 adviseable or not ?

  • You mean on the client side (I would assume) or on the server side (if this is what you mean)?

    If the first, only experience will tell. With previous preview releases various compatibility issues popped up. Since WHS 2011 is no longer maintained besides security fixes, I assume a lot of those compatibility issues will make it also into the release of Windows 10 clients.

  • I would also like to know whether to ungrade to windows 10 on the client side.  My home server backs up all my computers.  I have patched the whs 2011 and it know backs up my windows 8.1 laptop with uefi and gpt .

  • You may face many compatible issues. Think twice if you decided to upgrade.
