Refer a custom assembly in custom workflow activity in CRM 2013 On Premise RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are writing a custom workflow activity which refers a custom assembly.

Just like we do in the case of plugin, by putting this custom assembly in  ..\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\CRMWeb\bin  i.e. bin directory of CRMWeb will work for custom workflow activity also ?

Or we can put that custom assembly in GAC ?

    Thanks and Regards,

  • You can put the custom assembly inside the bin folder or the GAC, the important is that you register the workflow assembly NOT in the sandbox.

  • Hi Guido,

    Thanks for the reply.

I did that but was still getting

System.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly exception
