Validation problem, changed hard drive? RRS feed

    i had to change my hard drive and re-install my copy of windows vista home premium on the new one.


    When trying to activate i now get the message that the product key wont work and the same over the phone.

    Please post the results of this diagnostics tool:  http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012  That’ll help me understand why you’re unable to validate.  Also, can you tell me what error code you get when you try to validate?  It’ll be gray and in brackets at the end of the message on the validation failure web page.
