No Sounds from back or front inputs on my HP Pavillion desktop running windows 10

Question
-
After doing a system recovery my sound system will not work anymore on my desktop. I have checked my sound card and driver both are working fine but windows 10 just does not recognize the sound anymore. Please help!! I plugged in speakers in the back and tried to trouble shoot but all it said was the speakers were not connected same thing when I plugged in the headphones in the back or the front.
FYI: I still have an "X" on my sound icon on my taskbar but I clicked on PowerDVD which I assume is the default player and clicked on a trailer and it played and it produced sound through my headphones plugged in the front.

Hello,
I'd ask HP.
You could also ask in the Windows 10 forum on Microsoft Community.
As the Microsoft Community is on a different platform, we cannot move the question for you.Once there, click on Participate near the top of the screen, and select 'Ask a Question' or 'Start a Discussion'
