No Sounds from back or front inputs on my HP Pavillion desktop running windows 10

    Question

  • After doing a system recovery my sound system will not work anymore on my desktop. I have checked my sound card and driver both are working fine but windows 10 just does not recognize the sound anymore.  Please help!!  I plugged in speakers in the back and tried to trouble shoot but all it said was the speakers were not connected same thing when I plugged in the headphones in the back or the front.

FYI:  I still have an "X" on my sound icon on my taskbar but I clicked on PowerDVD which I assume is the default player and clicked on a trailer and it played and it produced sound through my headphones plugged in the front.

  • Hello,

    I'd ask HP.

You could also ask in the Windows 10 forum on Microsoft Community.

As the Microsoft Community is on a different platform, we cannot move the question for you.

Once there, click on Participate near the top of the screen, and select 'Ask a Question' or 'Start a Discussion'
