This is a retail version of Windows Home Premium which came with my new laptop. It has been running fine since begining about four months. Now it has been complaining about qenuity of windows 7 about two weeks.

It’s actually an OEM copy of Windows – w ich is normal.Your problem is the Tampered File seen above.I’d normally recommend trying a System Restore first for this problem – but you say this is a relatively new machine and you’ve had the problem for two weeks or so already. This is likely to mean that a lot of installs have gone in the past three weeks (about the time you’d need to restore back to).If the machine was already fairly stable three weeks ago, try a system Restore back to that time – it’s certainly the simplest solution if it works.If you can’t do a System restore that far back or it doesn’t work, then try a general fault-finding solution.Click on the Start button
type in the Search box
CMD.EXE
right-click on the only file that is found
Select Run as Administrator
- the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
At the Command prompt, type
CHKDSK C: /R
and hit the Enter key
You will be told that the drive is locked, and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot. The chkdsk will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) - then run the SFC
SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on the Start button
type in the Search box
CMD.EXE
right-click on the only file that is found
Select Run as Administrator
- the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
At the Command prompt, type
SFC /SCANNOW
and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.
run another MGADiag report, and post the results.

I tried both actions.
Rolled back for 1 month cause that was about the max I could roll back.
Also did chkdsk and sfc. No reports of anything being wrong.
The result... no change... still have tampered file and still get that nice window telling me that my version of windows 7 is not genuine.
