Cannot connect Outlook client for CRM 2011 with IFD RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey folks, I am getting following error, when I am configuring outlook client for on-premise CRM 2011.

Cannot connect to Microsoft Dynamics CRM server because we cannot authenticate your credentials. Check your connection or contact your administrator for more help.

I have entered in the config wizzard https://dev.company.com, which resolves correctly to an IP address of our firewall with appropriate publishing rules. IFD configuration is complete and from a webbrowser I can authenticate without any problems. I have also installed CRM client rollup 5.

I have changed the registry key for HomeRealmUrl, and I can browse to such address without any problems and I can see the XML. No certificate errors there. My outlook is x64.

Do you have any idea what might be wrong?

  • Hi Marek,

Do you have an enterprise role deployment?

the iFD server runs the asynch service?

If doesn't run the asynch service, the firewall must have a port open to an internal asynch server.
