iSCSI logoff issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an iSCSI drive on a Windows 2003 R2 SP2 server that is no longer needed.

I am trying to disconnect it via iSCSI Initiator but when I select it and try to log off, it gives me an error "The session cannot be logged out since a device on that session is currently being used." There is nothing being used on that drive as far as I know. There is no file there.

I had another iSCSI drive that I could not disconnect yesterday but today I was able to log off of it with no problem.

I would appreciate anyone's help. Thank you.

  • I disabled iSCSI NIC and rebooted the server and it removed the connection.

  • Hi,

I am also facing the same issue in windows 8.

Please let me know whether disabling iSCSI NIC wil solve this issue too. If so, just tell me how to disable iSCSI NIC else let me know what will be the problem.

    Thanks.
