  • I don't see how this is a programming question. Can you give more information on what you are trying to do?

  • Thank you for the reply,

Although this is probably not a programming question....Is there someone with the same problem? I would think that developers would have a better knowledge of this and maybe how to fix this..????????

My web app is running fine....but this is for a huge company and I cannot tell the whole company to use firefox instead of IE....!!!!!

So if I cannot fix this....thank you Microsoft....because now I have wasted two weeks of development and need to look at some or other stupid around the bush solution because my code that's written in a Microsoft product does not work in another Microsoft product(IE) but works with another(Firefox)

So if someone knows of an update to fix the problem please let me know!!!

  • How are you opening the window? Is it a new window? Maybe there is no History then? What about providing your own back button somewhere above the pdf, like a toolbar?

  • Hi

I am opening a new window with javascript now: window.open('pathtopdf'). The pdf is opening fine but as soon as I close the window the previous browser wher I have my print button which opens the new window loses the history and the back buttons are greyed out.

  • Could this be becuase of the postback that the button causes? I need the postback because I need to generate the pdf to display on the fire of the button
