Impact of creating a select stored Procedures on CRM 2011 database Licensing and upgrades ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My clients wants to create an audit   report     - one of the selections that I found is creating a stored proc  then using SSRS  to create the report  - I am wondering if there are any misgivings in adopting that approach  .

  • Creating a custom stored procedure in CRM database is not supported by MS. This means that an upgrade / roll-up may fail and MS might not support in such a case. Don't think there are licensing implications related to this.

You could create the stored procedure in a separate database and use it in your CRM report. This is a supported approach.
