Streets and Trips - Save as web page question RRS feed

  • Question

  • Howdy, quick question regarding saving a map as a web page that I've run into.

It seems that whenever you try to 'save as web page' if you have the "driving directions' check-box checked, the resulting html page will generate the following line of code for the link to the map image: '<IMG SRC="file-name\image_map.gif">'.

I've heard this is fine and dandy when using IE but any other browser dislikes the "\" between the file name and image, and will refuse to render the referenced image. I know I could simply edit this in notepad and switch it to a "/", but some of my less tech savvy friends I work with might struggle a bit with this (especially when there is a large amount of maps to be generated).

So in a nutshell, is there anyway to force the program to generate the reference to the image with "/" instead of a "\"? (Oddly enough this is how the img src is generated whenever 'driving directions' is not selected, so it seems a tad strange that it changes whenever that it is selected....)

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
