  • My problem was that i was running service-provider edition and theres a seperate update rollup for it. You can check which version your MEDIA installs by opening the readme.html.

  • Hi,

This error could occur due to following reasons:

    1. Problem:

You are installing "client" rollup 1, 2 on a "server" machine. i.e. Rollup 2 file name is "CRM3.0-KB927751-Client-ENU.exe" rather than "CRM3.0-KB927751-Server-ENU.exe".

    Solution:

Download & Install "CRM3.0-KB927751-Server-ENU.exe"  file. "CRM3.0-KB927751-Client-ENU.exe" is for computers where desktop client is installed.

Secondly, if you are installing Rollup 2, you don't need to install Rollup 1. Rollup 2 includes Rollup 1 in it.

    2. Problem:

You are installing Rollup on a machine where there is no CRM Server installed

    Solution:

Install Rollup 2 on a proper machine on which you've already installed MS CRM Server.

    3. Problem:

You are trying to install updates on a different version of MS CRM.

    Solution:

These rollups are just for MS CRM 3.0 version. If you've different version (1 / 1.2 / 4) and you are trying to install these updates on such version, offcourse, you will get error. Try to install CRM 3.0 and install these rollups.

Try these solutions and give your feedback on these.

I'm installing it on the "server" machine.

  • What exact problem have you been facing due to which you decided to install rollup 2?

Secondly, can you send me screenshots to me to see the exact problem. Or we can remotely do this task using some remote login software.

I am currently running CRM 3.0 and since the client install several of the machines are getting booted from Outlook. I tried to install Rollup 1 & 2 and revieved the same error message. "Setup could not find Microsoft CRM 3.0 Client for Microsoft Office Outlook or you may have a mismatch between update language and Microsoft CRM language. The installation of the update has stopped."

I checked all of the systems and all have client version 3.0.5300.1361

If I open Out look I can access CRM. We just keep randomly getting booted.

    Any suggestions.

I have found that the computers that have been running CRM without issue were running 3.0.5300.0. I installed both rollups without issue on those.

I uninstalled CRM from the troubled computers running 3.0.5300.1361 & reinstalled verion 3.0.5300.0 (an older disk)

and was able to install both rollups without issue.

So far I have not had any issues. I will update if that changes.
