Windows Live OneCare has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I keep getting this message when trying to open OneCare. However, I can still go to my computer and run a virus check.

Check the date and time on your PC. If it is incorrect, fix it and reboot. (Check the year, too)
If the date is correct, you may have a corrupt .Net Framework.
To repair .Net Framework 2.0 on XP:
Open Control Panel
Select Add or Remove Programs
Locate Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0
Select the entry and when the installer launches, select Repair.
Reboot when it completes.

To remove a corrupt .Net Framework install, use this tool:
http://astebner.sts.winisp.net/Tools/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip
