modifying home page login screen RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does Anyone know if microsoft allows you to modify the main /home/default.aspx?gotodefault=true screen or does it need to stay the generic microsoft format ?

  • You can modify it, though doing so is "unsupported". See the developers forum for more information.  However, most modifications you might make are going to be overridden the next time an update to Windows Home Server is released.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

  • Windows Home Server uses IIS - you might want to read up about how it works.  The Windows Home Server pages are divided into sites, you can add to these sites or modify the pages within them - though if you get it wrong it may mean you break various features provided.
