Dcom error in event log RRS feed

  • Hi all
    I am getting event id error 10016 source Dcom User  NT Authority\network service   ERROR in my event log the Description is
    The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
    {BC866CF2-5486-41F7-B46B-9AA49CF3EBB1}
     to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20).  This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

    I am gettig this error about 6 times every 2 sec's.

    Please can some one point me in the direction as to what may be the cause

  • Seems to built in hardware firewall in some Asus mobo's. Probably you can uninstall/disable using your driver CD. Also Please checkout http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=4126

  • After a fresh install of the OS, on a new drive I got this after using Microsoft Updates

    Tried to fix the old drive exactly the way the help and support instructions gave, and the

    computer went sizzle.

    Now with the basic software installed and updating the machine to SP3 this has

    happened again. It is coming from one of the updates. Going to re-install the OS

    and update one update at a time to see which one does it.
