Custom Entity Permissions

Question
-
Hi,
I have two custom entities set up and I want to 'hide' these and all records within from different users. Could I do this through security roles, or is there another way?
i.e. Custom Entity 1 - hidden from Sales users
Custom Entity 2 - hidden from Admin users
What is the best way to achieve this?
Thanks.

You can do using Security Roles, just set up the right permission for the entity in the last tab of the security role you want to grant access.
Just a note: users that have "System Administrator" role can always access to all entities.

I thought that also but the two custom entities that I created are not displaying in the 'custom entities' tab...
Not sure why this is?
Thanks.

I think your custom entities are "Activity" type, in this case they follow the Activity permissions, you can't define specific permissions only to your custom "activity type" entity in this case.

Ah yes, they are activities. Is there a way around this?

No, apart deleting them and recreating as normal entities
