    only running the WHS for up to 2 days i suddenly got this error:

     

    the procedure entry point __cxxframehandler3 could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll

     

    no way to boot because the system will lock up after this error

     

    So i installed windows vista on another hard drive to recover the shared folder files on my raid array. now the problem starts, i cant access them because i dont have the rights to do so altough if i look at the file properties it saids i have

     

     

    Any solution?

    Hi,

    Two options;

    Use the recovery console and re-install just the msvcrt.dll:

    cd system32
    ren msvcrt.dll msvcrt.bak
    x: (your DVD drive)
    cd \i386
    expand msvcrt.dl_ C:\windows\system32
    exit

     

    Alternatively, just boot from the DVD and select the re-install option. This will only wipe the C: drive and will re-build all the appropriate tombstones etc. You will need to re-add your Clients and any Add-Ins you previously had.
