  • The labs for MOC courses are launched from an application named "Lab Launcher". This application is installed from a .msi isntaller that should be included in the DVD that is provided for installing the course. After running the msi, it creates the .vmc files and provides an application that is able to launch the virtual machines in virtual server.

This software is not available directly to students. It is supposed to be installed by the training center or by the trainer. They can access the corresponding downloads from the Microsoft download center.

Virtual server 2005 R2 is not supported on Windows 7. If you do a search on the Internet, you will find ways to "trick it" so that it can be made to run on Windows 7, but once again notice that this is not officially supported.

  • Hi there

also just to let you you, after you start the VM through the Course Launcher you will be able to see them in the server administrator site.

if you want you can add them manualy to the server site "not recomended" because you have to activate the OS in every VM then.

normally with these courses there is at least one MSI file you need to run.

    hope that helps
