Licensing question

Question

We are using MS Sync Framework in our application and would like to include the required MS Sync Framework msi's (Synchronization and MetadataStoroage) in our setup package.Could anyone point me to any licensing information regarding this? The only license document I have come across so far is the EULA when I installed MS Sync Framework on my machine, but I don't recall reading anything on this topic the EULA.I downloaded the Microsoft Sync Framework v1.0 from:

Right. Actually Jesse's response is the only specific licensing link that we have. It is a good idea to look into including this in the install.

To your specific question, yes, you are free to include them in your installer package.

Hi ohanna,
You can find related info in the sections "SCOPE OF LICENSE" and "TRANSFER TO THIRD PARTY" of the EULA for Sync Framework Runtime.
Thanks,

Thanks for the response.
I did read the above documentations, but didn't find them to be very clear.
I'd like to unzip the setup file that I download from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C88BA2D1-CEF3-4149-B301-9B056E7FB1E6&displaylang=en
and only include the synchronization.msi and SyncServicesADO.msi installer files (which also includes an EULA as well) in my installer package.
Does that violate any terms? Thanks again.Thursday, June 25, 2009 6:50 PM -
