    I bought a Sony laptop and I can't activate my free trial of Windows Live OneCare. It's supposed to be working because it's one of their offers! Please help me activate it. Thanks!

    If the free trial is preinstalled and OneCare is running, then there is no activation involved until the trial period is up. At that point you need to purchase OneCare.
    What is the current status of One Care on the machine? is it running? Is there an icon in the system tray - a "1" in a Circle that is either green, yellow, or red?
