OneCare would not install RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • When the pc restarts after installation I get a window stating that OneCare 2.0 could not finish installing and to restart the pc in order to fix the problem. I tried that several times. I uninstalled it and then tried to install it again but still getting the same message. I am a paid subscriber to OneCare and uninstalled OneCare 1.5. In the end up I reinstalled OneCare 1.5 in order to get some protection. Anyboby else have any problems.

  • If you would like to try installing the beta again, uninstall One Care, use the uninstall tool - http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/c/b/4cb845e7-1076-437b-852a-7842a8ab13c8/OneCareCleanUp.exe ,then install the beta. If the installation does not complete again, please look for an error code along with the message that the installation could not be completed and post back.

  • Tried it and still not working. There is no error code displayed, the window just states that Windows LiveOneCare has stopped working and to restart the computer to fix it or use help. Everytime I restarted the computer this window always came up. Thanks anyway. Reinstalled 1.5 so I can have protection.

  • To uninstall One Care: Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. After uninstalling One care, download and run the cleanup tool from the link in the above post. To install One Care go to http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/default.htm
