Architecture forum contains non-archit. questions and spam RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
    The Architecture forum sadly is made of with a majority of questions that have nothing to do with architecture. Please forgive me if this has already been reported.

    e.g.
    "how do I allocate 1TB of memory"
    "how do I detect DVD insert"
    "whether one should call Dispose()"

    This really is not architecture but more like technical questions better suited for win32, .net or hardware forums.

    to make matters worse, nearly every 4th post is spam relating to DVD ripping.

    Could we have more control over content in these forums. Thank-you in advance

  • Hi Cara,

    Perhaps you misunderstood. I'm not 'asking a question' but rather 'providing feedback' on the junk posts in forums.

    I would have thought the forum Suggestions and Feedback for the Forums for my complaint would have been the correct forum don't you agree?

  • You can mark threads as off-topic and ask moderators to review reported threads.

    As for dvd ripping threads, we need better spam filters.
