Refreshed theme on WLW not working

    Question

  • I recently changed my blog to a dot com and got a blog makeover that changed my posting area.  I went to WLW and refreshed my theme and changed the blog address.  Now I have no edit area.  It only shows my blog header.  In the edit area, I'd have to post over my header, very difficult to see anything.  There's also no place for the post title.  Help please!

  • You need to reconfigure your blog to make this work.  Under Blogs select Edit Blog Settings.  Under the Account item select Update Account Configuration and then reconfigure your blog.

  • Howdy.

Windows Live Writer doesn't always detect or refresh the themes correctly, but you might want to try a free utility to try to adjust or FIX the theme in Windows Live Writer.

The utility can be found here:

Read through the instructions, you use it correctly and you just might not have an issue soon.

    Hope this helps.

Sadly I've tried everything on that post and I'm still getting the unhandled exceptions. The folder's there, the css and the images too... just not the HTML. Any ideas?
