CRM 4.0 E-mail router

Question
-
Hello!
I would like to know the recommended Exchange 2007 server role in which to install the CRM 4.0 E-mail Router. We have a Mailbox, CAS and HUB all on separate servers. The Mailbox role is on a CCR cluster, so my thoughts are not on either of those servers, but not sure.
I would also like to be able to install it once and have tha ability to service all 3 of our environments (DEV, QA and PRO). Which I think is possible by setting up the 3 deployments.
Thank you

Because the E-Mail Router is a connector between Exchange/POP3 and CRM Deployments, the Router can be installed on any device in the domain. You can configure multiple Exchange IN / OUTGOING Profiles for multiple Exchange Servers or multiple POP3/SMTP Profiles. And of course you can configure multiple crm deployments and Route the mailbox to the right exchange or other profile.

Hi,
Email Router is communicate with the Exchange WEBDav interface which is a part of the Exchange OWA Funktion. And this is a part of the CAS (Client Acess Server) of Exchange 2007.
You could Install the Emailrouter once and make 2 Deployments for QA, PROD and Dev

Matthias

Thanks for the replies!
Documentation states that I can install it on the Exchange server and if I do, I don't have to configure certain security settings. It just doesn't recommend which server or role to install it on. Logically I agree with Matthias and that it should be installed on the CAS server. This way I can install it once and use it for all 3 of my environments, rather than 3 times on each CRM server or on it's own separate server.
Any other opinions?
