crm 4.0 for outlook client - language RRS feed

  • Question

  • hello,

On this MS website it says:

The installation language of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Microsoft Office Outlook must match the base language that you have selected for your Microsoft Dynamics CRM implementation

But in the course material for CRM 4.0 (customization&config) it says:

Because the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server and Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook are separate

products, they can have different base languages within the same deployment

Can anyone confirm what is correct?

    Thanks!

  • The base language must match for the installation.

Just came across this presentation that I think might help add some clarity.

     •Titan supports multi-lingual CRM deployment
    •Multi-lingual configuration rules
    –CRM
•Base language of CRM server and CRM client has to match
    –Server
•Server Stack has to be all in the same language
•Server Stack has to either match the CRM Server base language, or be English
    –Client
•Client Stack does not have to match the CRM Client base language
•Client Stack can be in different languages in a single deployment
